meathmamofour replied to the topic Breastfeeding another mums baby?? in the forum Pregnancy, Mums2Be, Birth, New Parents 13 years, 10 months ago
Dunno about actually feeding another woman’s baby unless there were very unusual circumstances, however, I have given my EBM to a very desperate friend who couldn’t express and have many friends who donate milk to the breast milk bank.

meathmamofour replied to the topic Conceiving either a boy or a girl??? Can it be done?? in the forum Pregnancy, Mums2Be, Birth, New Parents 13 years, 10 months ago
save your money and check out "yourdays.com" – you plug in your cycle information and your ‘goal’ ie. conceive a baby, conceive a boy baby or conceive a girl baby and it will give you the best dates to try to conceive based on your cycle. It basically takes the shettles method and calculates it for you…assuming you have a decent knowledge of…[Read more]

meathmamofour replied to the topic Baby Lying Transverse at 32 weeks in the forum Pregnancy, Mums2Be, Birth, New Parents 13 years, 11 months ago
Still plenty of time!
My baby was transverse at 28wks and then went briefly breech until about 33wks before going head down.
I saw Mark (acupuncturist on this site) for the unstable lie and I also did positions from spinningbabies.com
Is this your second+ pregnancy? Its more common the more babies you have – more room for them to stretch out and turn!

Hi Mark,
Its great to see you posting! I’m going to embarrass you now if you don’t mind LOL
For anyone who is considering acupuncture, Mark is a true Gent! I saw him after a miscarriage in terms of trying to get cycles back in order to get pregnant. Within 3 cycles I was back to an average cycle. I discovered I was pregnant and continued with…[Read more]

meathmamofour replied to the topic Acupuncture as treatment for PND – article in today's paper in the forum Pregnancy Loss, Bereavement & Depression 14 years, 1 month ago
great article – its great to see acupuncture’s benefits being recognised and I am thrilled to see ante-natal depression being highlighted in a National paper; it goes widely unrecognised and is commonly dismissed as being normal hormonal swings.

Hi girls,
add me in 😀
I am running it for AIMS Ireland
How is the training going? I am up to about 7km at the moment but am much slower than my times when running it 2 yrs ago (before my Dec baby). Am hoping to improve that in the next few mths!!

I’m running it for AIMSI – will be my first official race back since my baby was born in Dec
If anyone cares to join me please give me a shout – would be fun to train together and get a little Drogheda group up for support for one another! 😀

meathmamofour replied to the topic breastfeeding to bottle in the forum Pregnancy, Mums2Be, Birth, New Parents 14 years, 2 months ago
he probably won’t take a bottle now at this stage… mine never did. I fed the last one til 16mths and like you could not get a bottle near his mouth when I wanted to go out. We finally just used to give him milk in a cup when I needed to leave him…slightly different situation though as I was only using it for the odd feed and you want to do it…[Read more]

Hi there,
Thanks for the replies..sorry, only getting back online now so missed both meetings! 😳
The morning meetings sound great – can’t do afternoons as would have all 4 with me and the older ones would not be happy to sit around listening to baby chat! 😆

ah geeze…what are you doing here Jackie! LOL 😉
Thats great! Will do my best to get there. Méabh usually feeds at 2:30pm so it may take some juggling or else I’ll be the engorged woman leaking all over Bettystown Beach… very attractive! 😆

meathmamofour replied to the topic Dads not being allowed in…. in the forum Pregnancy, Mums2Be, Birth, New Parents 14 years, 3 months ago
On my first baby (dublin) I was separated from my husband in labour and in the fetal assessment ward. It has stayed with me always and I found it a very traumatising experience. He was forced to leave at the time I needed him most.
I think its sad that this has become the case at OLOL as I had found them exceptional in the past in terms of…[Read more]

Fabienne
Do you have to be doing the Operation Transformation to do this? I would be really interested.
Méabh is 5+ weeks now and I started back running from last week. Its slow though…only can manage about 2km a session at the minute. Would love something like this that would be tough but fun (and social) to get my fitness back up!

No, we didn’t know about the discount but it isn’t the discount I have an issue with – I don’t really have an issue at all really. 😆
I was just giving my opinion that for the average mum on the street with 3 kids €52 is alot for what is was and the time that was spent there. Just on comparison, €13 is more per head than we paid fo…[Read more]

Nope, no discount. And there were 13 of us. Each paid for their own family – so for me it was me and 3 kids = €52

hummm…. we were there on Thurs, not so keen. I left feeling like I’d been ripped off which is a terrible feeling. €52 is alot to pay for a trip out.
