lellykelly replied to the topic Floods and tornados! Scary stuff in the forum National Chat 10 years, 2 months ago
Our 4year old is terrified of the wind. All started before Christmas when he saw an empty buggy blown away outside his school. Over the Christmas break we noticed that he didn’t want to get dressed to avoid going out and he just wanted to stay indoors whole time. We obviously didn’t let him and found a reason every day to get him out but since…[Read more]

lellykelly replied to the topic That Friday Feeling… in the forum National Chat 10 years, 2 months ago
I love the Friday feeling in work, there’s always such a nice atmosphere with everyone looking forward to the weekend. If i ever worked a four day week id never take a Friday off, would seem like a waste to me! I try on a Friday evening to sort out the house, uniforms etc and i do like sitting down to graham Norton though im normally exhausted by…[Read more]

I never thought of it like that munchin that at least its aired and can be dealt with. I suppose i just hate the thought of her even being aware of that type of concept so young. I too had brought my daughter out running a few times, she ran the golden sands 1km in august and flew home, she was delighted with herself. I got her some running…[Read more]

Oh god sabbi don’t say that. I dread the day my daughter mentions anything like that and i think they are about the same age. They just grow up way too quickly and even being in that mindset brings with it a whole load of unnecessary pressure.

Haileysmam, that’s brilliant! Well done, to see such an improvement in one week is fantastic. I started running with a programme like the Irish times one, it was with weightwatchers last year and my mam was doing it. I could see her flying along in no time and it was something i had always wanted to do so i just started one day…..point is…[Read more]

Couldn’t agree more sabbi, i was just thinking the same, i did my 4km at lunch today and feel so much better for it. I usually get an afternoon slump but that didn’t happen today. I can never make up my mind if i prefer the beach or the road…..i did the golden sands 5k last august and up until then had only ran on the beach, when i moved to the…[Read more]

Brilliant sabbi. I didn’t go out today cause i only had the morning to do it and the weather was atrocious! Did a metabolic effect instead which nearly killed me. That’s what i love about the online classes, i can just do them whenever suits me. Love the name you picked sabbi!

Well done haileysmam, its easy to talk about these things much harder to get up and do them! I found a 4km route around my job so did that Wednesday lunchtime. Had bad day yesterday though, i never normally go into a shop & buy chocolate but on way home yesterday i bought a pack of minstrels & a caramello. Devoured both! Got home & my husband…[Read more]

We were the same with our youngest, he screamed the place down if we even mentioned jocks or the toilet yet he was more advanced for his age than the the other two and had taken a great interest in his brother and what he did. I left him too, he was a month past his third birthday before we went back to it and he took to it straight away. I…[Read more]

Have you tried the Irish times programme haileysmam? I’ve my stuff with me to go during my lunch break tomorrow. Did a metabolic effect class this evening, had been feeling brutal all afternoon, whopper headache and was wrecked tired on way home from work. Felt much better after i did it tho, its amazing how different you feel after exercising!

yes sabbi, the metabolic effect classes – i feel sick after them. theres loads of variety available on the online classes, i had wanted to do their classes a long time as I had heard so much about them but I would never make it up there so the online classes were the perfect solution for me! Great value too!

ah great 🙂 i am still doing some running and have also signed up for the online classes with labfitness….they are really tough but i do them a lot, its great being able to get one done when the weather is brutal or when I am at home with the kids. They generally take about 25 minutes & i always feel great after them so between that & the…[Read more]

I know what you mean pookie….desmond tutu said during the week that Nelson Mandela reminded us all of what we could be and it struck a chord with me; its amazing how much one person can achieve yet remain sincere and pleasant throughout. lellykelly replied to the topic Most glam breastfeeding ever? in the forum Newborns, Babies, Toddlers, Kids, Teens! 10 years, 4 months ago
The negativity i heard or saw was as you say the fact that its not true to most peoples lives and that there’s almost a smugness about it. Yeah it is a working mother but its a situation that most would love (even for just one day) but cant even relate to. If she really wanted to promote breastfeeding or the fact that shes doing it, there must…[Read more]
