I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Lisa and I run a business called The Jewellery Tree which specialises in handcrafted personalised silver jewellery. Please take a look at the website thejewellerytree to see some examples of what we do.
In a nutshell we make bespoke hallmarked silver jewellery with your childs fingerprint, hand or footprint or even a drawing captured in it. Pieces include charms, charm bracelets, pendants, cufflinks, keyrings, bookmarks and even phone charms.
Great gift ideas for christenings, mums, dads, grandparents, birthdays, weddings, communions and more.
Turnaround times are approx 2-4 weeks, and all items come in beautiful presentation gift boxes.
January 4, 2010 at 2:13 pm #84899missysmumMemberWelcome,
I love this idea, and would be very interested in getting a fingerprint charm for a silver charm bracelet i’ve had for a long time. just wondering can the finished charms be easily attached to your own chain or would you have to order a whole new one?
thanks.
January 4, 2010 at 2:26 pm #84902jewellerytreeMemberHi missymum
What type of charm bracelet have you got? If it’s a sweetie style one I can attach a small silver split ring which you can simply attach to the bracelet. If you have a bracelet which has the charms attached permanently then you will just need to take it to a local jeweller to have them open and close the jump ring on the charm to add itto whichever link you like.
I also have attachements for pandora bracelets so you can add the charm to them.

January 4, 2010 at 2:35 pm #84906missysmumMemberits a heavy set links of london chain, most of the charms on it are set but there are some on clasps that i take on and off so i can swap them around (bought seperately). I do like the idea of being able to put on different charms depending on what i want on it! is the split ring you mentioned one with a clasp or is it more like a keyring type?
January 4, 2010 at 3:12 pm #84918jewellerytreeMemberThe split ring is like a keyring split ring, but is only 5mm diameter so you can move the charms round or on and off the bracelet. I don’t think that will work for your bracelet, but I can attach the charm to a lobster clasp so that you can attach it wherever you like on the bracelet, I’d say that will work fine for you.
See the picture for the split ring I’m talking about, it’s really foruse with a sweetie style bracelet as in the pic.

January 7, 2010 at 10:30 pm #85363hjsMemberWould it be worth backtracking on lead times etc to ensure this done so that we’d all get our bits and pieces back in time for a particular event, eg Easter/Mothers’ Day/Valentine’s? Or anyother date we might give such items as gifts?
