  • I would suggest take away all the small and summer clothes. Put warm winter clothes in her wardrobe let her pick what she wants to wear then. Try not to make a big drama out of it for her. Any new clothes mix in with the old clothes she doesn’t know at that age what’s new or not it’s all warm winter clothes. If she has a fear of dressing etc. you…[Read more]

  • Avoid too much dairy. My dd who is six has various food allergies and is also asthmatic . If she wants milk I will give her milk but won’t give her yoghurts or cheese that day. Too much dairy definitely makes the wheeze worse and stuffs up her nose. She has recently started swimming and I find her chest is improved .

I dont cook separate dinners either although my ds aged 4 didnt like saucey foods eg stews last year and now this year he loves it although i dont spoon any sauce onto his plate so his food is relatively dry 🙄 The odd time he has refused a dinner and i just make him a ham sandwich – he didnt like cabbage and potato with his bacon and also…[Read more]

I agree with pookie 4 we have our living room as a toy free zone it’s the good room and no toys r allowed. The kids can play their ds’s and computer in it but that’s it. The other room is their playroom where they can cover the place with toys without any hassle. It’s great when they go to bed that myself and dh have a clean tidy space to relax in…[Read more]

  • I normally get their feet measured in victor dwyers or Clarks and then I shop around for best value shoes. My dd is a demon on shoes . She goes out in a new pair and two hours later they look like she’s had them for months. So I do not spend a fortune on her shoes . Also as there feet are growing so fast you would need a bank behind you spending…[Read more]

  • Gosh munchin that is very expensive. Four of us are off to Portugal next month for under a thousand euro for a week. Just under 800 euro for flights and 200 for the apt on owners direct.co.uk. We have stayed in the same place for the last few years and love it . Perhaps look at that website for cheaper accommodation.

  • gosh i had this dilema a couple of years ago with my dd – she was 4 in the june but i wasnt happy that she would be able to handle big school socially rather than eductionally. Coupled with that she was shy. I battled with the decision – i spoke to her montessorri teachers and they said – dont start her – it was better that she start a year…[Read more]

  • Chickpea you will soon loose your inhibitions – every shred of dignity goes out the window having a baby 😆 😆 Then after they have finished with your bits down south – they ravage ur boobs 😆 😆 When i had my first and was b/feeding i literally didnt close my nightdress – boobs a kimbo – airing them when she wasnt attached to…[Read more]

  • The La Roche possay is very good – our gp recommended it for our allergic dd as her suncream – its the only one that does not bring her out in a rash so i would recommend La Roche creams without hesitation. Perhaps drop the fabric conditioner if you are using one – my DH has started scratching over christmas (may be the amount of rubbish…[Read more]

  • Yes the blue puff helped straight away – in as much as the incessant coughing had stopped and the wheeze was alleviated to where she was comfortable. It may take a bit of time if she is not getting the full medicated dose into her system – persever if the doc says so – hope she feels better soon
