i know it’s not Drogheda but Tommy’s in Blanch always have a selection, have shawls, socks/tights, cardis and candles – bascially one stop shop for christenings 😉

In Dundalk Sitchcraft in Earl Street would be the best place.

no super minder – it’s traditional for both boys & girl but not necessary.
One of my sisters got a litte white christening outfit for her son – little satin top & trousers but my other sis used her christening robe and changed him to a little outfit after the church.

Superminder, babies dont have to wear white christening robe. Once you have a white blanket that is ok.

When ds2 got christened there was a baby boy in a white shirt and little black pants (so cute).

I think the white is to signify their innocence and pureness
