Great to see Amber smashing her target. Worth mentioning that it wasn’t done by living on lettuce and water and spending 4 hours per day in the gym. It was achieving a balance. Making improvements in the overall food, drink and activity levels. Yes, there were "bad" days/weeks but that’s real life. Once you have the right frame of mind and plan…[Read more]

Amber, I am absolutely delighted for you! You’ve done so well. I was talking to a friend today and showed her your last month’s before/after pic from the Mumstown FB page and she said to tell you that you look amazing!
I knew you would reach it this month and I’m delighted I was able to help. Shame I was busy getting interviewed by the judging…[Read more]

Thanks Sabbi!
Yeah the main message is that you will most likely save money and you will have a much better understanding of what you have. And it costs nothing.

Thanks Sue! You’re right, it’s one of those things that people just put off but taking the time to make sure of what you have, can be priceless. It also gives peace of mind.

HMM, remember what I said about how you talk to yourself? Saying "I’m a disaster" will only drag you in the wrong direction. You’ve listed the problem areas and you are fully in control of planning, preparation, water and portion size. You got around the late eating due to working hours before and you can do it again.
Draw a line, make a plan…[Read more]

Also, very worthwhile checking if your cover has a "Conversion Option". If not, you may not be able to get cover when the term comes to an end (subject to medical underwriting).

So, a lot of people will be staying at home today due to the storm warnings. Why not use the time to do something you may not normally do? Whether it’s some basic exercises like lunges, squats, arm raises etc., some stair climbing, marching on the spot, crunches, skipping, treadmill/bike or even hoola-hooping! If it’s not something you’ve done…[Read more]

Ah hope you get better soon, Sabbi! So frustrating when you feel like that. Just try not to be tempted to reach for junk 😉 Hot water with honey and real lemon squeezed in should help a bit (especially with the throat).
Munchin, that’s great. Dropping a bit and then staying static is fine. You’re still going in the right direction. Just keep the focus.

And Friday comes around again!
There is an amazing feeling of accomplishment when you set out to make some changes to get healthier and actually do what you plan to and see the results. Of course you may hit "sticking" points and days when you really don’t feel too positive or motivated. These are the days that you can make a difference. These…[Read more]

Well done to everyone that is making the small changes that make a difference. Some great milestones being hit by some of you in the coming weeks.
If anyone is hitting a sticking point or not seeing improvements over a long period, get back to basics. Start the detailed food, drink and activity diary again (and feel free to email me with the…[Read more]

Not only is it the start of the weekend but tomorrow is the last day of 3/4 of the year!
Typically, it’s often at this time of year that people taper off from some of the good habits that have built up and start to think about the Christmas season, which inevitably leads to an increase in the food and drink (the wrong kind of food and drink!)…[Read more]
