I’ve recently started playing 11-a-side football in an over-35’s league. We train for 90mins and play a match for 90mins.

Because of the weather over the past 2months the pitches are hard and with training and matches I’ve picked up the unwelcome "shin splints" for anyone who’s experienced this, they will tell you its very painful. To a point where its very uncomfortable to even walk.

Wednesday 2 weeks ago we played a match, with 5minutes remaining I had to come off the pitch with an unbearable shooting pain in my shins. I visited my GP on the Thursday and he recommend I take Ponstan and rest for 3weeks – "that should work" was his medical opinion.

Not happy with that I visited Annette Reilly on the Friday who practices Neuroenergetic Kinesiology, I explained my symptoms and Annette got me to relax, lie down on her treatment table and proceeded to ask many questions and work on the pressure points throughout my body.
The session lasted an hour, at the end Annette explained I’d made great progress and I could play an indoor match that was arranged for that evening.

I managed 50mins that evening, felt some discomfort and decided to take a rest. I had another session the following Friday, which lasted another hour.

We had a match the next day, I managed 90mins without any pain in my shins. Over the past few weeks because of the severe pain I was enduring I honestly believed I wouldn’t get to play this season. After 2 sessions with Annette I’m really looking forward to the next 9months of league football.

Checkout Annette’s website neki.ie and the excellent thread What is Neuroenergetic Kinesiology?

I’m delighted with Dave’s progress and am not at all surprised how quickly the treatment I offer was able to completely relieve his initial symptoms.

Neuroenergetic Kinesiology is the fastest, most effective method I have ever come across for relieving every kind of ailment. I’m just over 6 years now specialising in this area and I have not once had a client that I was unable to help through the work I do.

During Dave’s treatments I worked through different parts of the upper and lower legs testing for stress in each area. I assessed the stress levels in the structure of the Tibia, Fibula and Femur, the Knee Joint and Patella. I also tested the menisci (The Menisci are crescent-shaped plates of tough fibrocartilage lying on the articular surface of the tibia. They act as shock absorbers within the knee and prevent sideways movement of the femur.)

I also worked through the anterior and posterior muscles of the upper and lower legs and the arteries, veins and nerves of the legs. Every time I got feedback from the indicator muscle showing stress in any of these regions I simply tested the body to see which correction the body wanted to balance/defuse the stress. It really is as simple as that and I think the results more than speak for themselves. Any questions please feel free to pm me.

Tonight we had a 90min training session…I came through with flying colours, if anything I could’ve continued for another 30mins.

I’m so grateful for the work Annette has done, at certain stages I felt this old dude would have to stop playing ball even before it all got started, now I’m itching for the season to start.

We had a 75min indoor session last night, yet again no pain, no problems with the shins.

The last time I played indoor I had to hobble off after 50mins…getting the full 75mins last night was brilliant.

I can vouch for him on this…he was limping around, moaning and complaining about how much pain he was in and how he might never play football again. I had just given birth a week previous so was not very sympathetic as he was not much help around the house when he could barely walk. I wanted him sorted – never mind for football, I just wanted him to be able to make the dinner and vacuum the house!!

I made the doc appt for him and he was so disillusioned when he came home with a prescription and the advice to ‘rest for a few weeks and it will probably go away’. That prognosis was a bit rubbish so when he spoke to Annette, he decided to give kineseology a go.

Thankfully, there is not a bother on him now (don’t get me wrong, he still moans alot but thats just what men are like 😆 😆 ) and his legs are in fine working order.

Let’s put it this way, I am taking baby for walk this afternoon and when I get back the house will be clean and the dinner on (or else there will be trouble!!) and he would not have been up for that a few weeks ago.

So for anyone with an ailment, may well be worth giving Annette a call.
