Looking for a nice sturdy radiator cover for a long radiator in our hallway. Anyone able to recommend somewhere for these? Looking for well made and reasonably priced.

We had looked at a few places for these and came across http://www.Ecorads.ie who were by far the best priced and when I called them, were very friendly and explained they could send the radiator cover for us to assemble (not what we wanted after the last one we assembled 😳 ) so we asked them to do it. They also asked if we wanted our unit painted – if so we had a choice of cream or white. We went for cream and its lovely, its kind of a peachy cream colour.
The guys came over and put some foil around the radiator and then assembled the cover over the radiator. They put two wooden hooks on the wall so the cover can be taken down if we need to clean in that area or remove for any other reason.
They were really friendly and clean while they worked. Despite our children constantly trying to run past them and asking them a million questions, they were so sweet to the kids and were not at all cross with them for the interruptions.
cannot recommend these guys highly enough – especially for their price range.
Delighted with our finished product. 😀

They start at 59.95 and go up as the radiators get bigger – the price depends on the size of the radiator. Butwe’ve looked at a few places and these guys were the best priced (even cheaper than the one we bought in a hardware store and assembled ourselves!)

Do they stop the heat at all? I would love one for our radiator in the hall but would be worried about this.
No, not at all Yvonne. In fact, the guys put some tin foil looking material on the wall to maximise the heat coming from the cover. They could explain it alot better than me but basically, it makes the heat come out evenly and makes the area around the cover nice and warm
We really like our one and it does not make the hall colder at all.

Indeed, our radiator covers are not obstructing the heat, moreover, they are Energy Efficient, since they make the heat to reflect away from the exterior wall, and push it outside of the radiator cover into the room. You can find more info with videos here
