Irish Life commissioned a study and survey to try and understand why many people do not have sufficient cover in place (recent statistics statethat approximately half of parents have no cover outside their mortgage protection!)
Their findings told them (among other things) that:
53% of consumers have no life cover in place.
67% of consumers would struggle financially if death or serious illness occurred.
20% of consumers (320,000 people) would consider taking out cover in the next 12 months.
So why not? According to their findings people think it’s more expensive than it actually is. €35 was the average price that customers think cover starts from. €15 is the actual price.
So the campaign kicks off next week for 3 weeks. Does this reflect your own situation???
