Did you know that during May and June Elave will be donating €1 per sale of each Shampoo, Shower and Intensive Cream 125g – to the Irish Cancer Society’s Survivors Supporting Survivors programme.

Survivors Supporting Survivors is the Irish Cancer Society’s one-to-one support programme, providing emotional and practical support to newly diagnosed patients.

Being diagnosed with cancer can be one of the most difficult situations a person will have to face in their lifetime. All of their Survivors Supporting Survivors volunteers have had a cancer diagnosis. The volunteers have been carefully selected and trained to give support, practical information and reassurance when you need it most. You can speak to someone who really knows what you’re going through.

    Survivor Supporting Survivors aims to:

    – Help you come to terms with your diagnosis of cancer
    – Discuss your feelings and anxieties about cancer treatments
    – Give you emotional support and practical advice
    – You can get support if you’re facing a possible diagnosis, if you’ve been recently diagnosed or if you’re dealing with the side effects of treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonal therapy.

Yesterday we had our launch at the Irish Cancer Society office in Dublin where we got to hear real cancer survivors talking about their own experiences dealing with their illness and also on how they came on board as a supporter to others who’ve been diagnosed.

Special Edition packs of Elave Shampoo (€7.10), Elave Shower (€7.10) and Elave Intensive Cream (€8.49) are available in pharmacies nationwide during May and June.
