    I tried to do it too every light and tv were off except my dh’s computer, nothing will make him switch that off!

    LOL … a telling sign that people had their computers on … me too 😳
    We can oversee the town from our top floor and were expecting a drastic change at 8PM … nothing drastic happened 🙁
    We have a request from our kids to do it every Saturday night! Why not!?!?

    I heard Irelands electricy usage dropped by 1.3%, this isnt much compared to other countries who had 10% or more. Think it was sinagpore or Bangkok that had a massive drop in power usage, they even turned street lights off

    I dont think it was advertised enough in the media. Maybe this was just because it was our first year though. Hopefully next year a lot more will take part, like the likes of the car showrooms and businesses. i mean there is no need really at any time for all there lights to be left on.
