Early Start Childminder/Creche

Hi, My BIL’s gf is due in October and she will be returning to work but needs to be in work for 7am. Does anyone know of a minder or creche that would start around 6.30am – possibly for a 12 hour day… or how has anyone, in a similiar situation managed.

I think the giraffe chain of creches open from 6.30, but the nearest one to drogheda is in blanchardstown…I think there is one in ratoath too that opens that early, cant think of the name though..as far as I know most of the creches in town open at 7am and close at 6.30pm….

Your friend could look at taking an extra 1/2 hour in the morning as parental leave, she would have to speak with her employer, but she is legally entitled to it…hope it helps

Thanks for that Dinomum – those creches are in the wrong direction for her – never thought about parental leave, so must mention that to her, it might be an easier option for her. Thanks again!
