We are on a budget this year and not ableto get away abroad and sometimes, I find it can be almost dearer to stay home in Ireland for a break, so we have been looking for cheap deals for family breaks in Ireland.
Carlton hotel group have some very good deals on for famililes: its 109 each per adult for 2 nights with B&B and one dinner and the kids go free and that includes kids clubs. If there are more than 2 children and you need interconnecting rooms, there is a small fee for that but all in all, it works out very good value for a staycation.
We have stayed in Carlton Westport and Ballinasloe and each time, we had a blast. The kids loved the hotels and kids clubs and there was plenty to do in the areas.
This year, we are heading to Carlton Tralee and will add up some details when we get back about it but it looks like it will be a good trip. Passes to the Aquadome are included as part of the package, so think we are in for another good mini break with lots to keep the kids happy.
Now, if only it does not rain for the few days we’ll be there….
