Thre is a small building with a load of different businesses in it. It’s next door to Instyle Carpets (To it’s left if your facing the carpet place) which is down a wee bit on the opposite side from Funtasia, dont even know if this is donore ind.estate, worth a shot.

It has a brass plaque on the wall that says National Education and Physcological Services so assuming who you are looking for is in there.

Indeed, that IS the building. Bit of a Fort Knox arrangement, defo didn’t really wanna let me in to drop off forms, but as they were just all loose, hadn’t put them in an envelope, someone HAD to let me in and physically take them off me whereas they had actually just wanted me to drop them in post box!
So thanks a mill girls, battle no1 over, but looks like the war continues…I have ds a place in Jonix, specialist unit at Dasy Chain where they provide ABA tuition for children with autism (what ds needs). On form you have to get them to fill in some details, but as the staff are registered there at Jonix with Dept of Science and Education, to provide ABA, they have never had to complete this section of the form before when people applying for funding for their kids to be educated, rather they just provide a covering letter saying he needs ABA, we provide that and he has a place starting xxxxxx..
But guess what I am being told now?…Oh, no, you HAVE to get them to fill in that section regardless of what is customary practice blah blah blah…I could see you would get worn down very quickly and easily by such a process as this with all the goal-post moving, squirming and wriggling to get out of committing to funding anything and downright obstructive practices by some elements in state bodies, as it seems to me. But I will keep chipping away and see where I get!
Thanks for all help in trackin the place down!!!

Is there any support groups in the town for parents of autistic children? Just so you can share experiences and get advice. I know that everybody on Mumstown will be here to listen to you vent whenever you need to.
Hope things start falling into place for you and your son gets the help that he deserves and needs.
