Enjoy a unique combination of mountain and sea views at the Leenane Walking Festival in Co. Galway taking place from the 29th April – 1st May.
Situated on the edge of Killary Harbour and surrounded by mountains in all directions, walks featured includes a choice of panoramic high-level mountain walk, including Mweelrea, Benchoona and Maamtrasna, as well as a number of low-level options.
This year’s programme also includes a guided cycle around Salruck & Renvyle Peninsula, a guided low level guided Herb & Nature walk along the Famine Trail, a simulated Helicopter Rescue by the Irish Coast Guard and a family walk on Leckavara Hill. Walkers can look forward to refreshments provided at the end of each walk, as well as a BBQ and party on the Sunday evening.
