I went private with OLOL and it cost 2600 with Dr Milner(2009) but got no Dr Milner at the birth or private room in hospital but was still charged. I am due again in 3 weeks and am attending Mount Carmel. I did the affordable shared care as I didnt want to travelling into the hospital for every visit. I live just south of Drogheda and it takes 45…[Read more]

We got buckets of salad, catering sized quiches and large lasagnes and large desserts(apple cakes, cheese cakes). I had to collect all the food the day before but leet the cakes defrost but it was very low cost and…[Read more]

I have been asked to be godmother to my nephew and would love some good ideas for a christening gift. Nothing to pricey as I already have bought him a lovely rocker chair/swing as a welcome present. So was only planning on spending around the 50/60 euro mark. Any ideas?????

I can only repeat what the girls have already said. I had a PHN tell me at 16 week check that my baby may have a delayed development. I was working in the health services with children at the time and never noticed anything neither did any of my family ever notice but like you, the PHN referred me to Navan to see a doctor over there. Well I was in…[Read more]

Well I do agree with you Taylor, if I didnt have medical insurance I would certainly be heading into the publlic system. But we are lucky enough to still have private cover so I think why sit around OLOL or any mayernity public waiting room when I can be seen within minutes, scanned and back to work within 2hours. I am happy and boss is certainly…[Read more]

I understand you not wanting to attend OLOL, I feel the medical care is good but the system is all wrong and the staff have to work under such stress and budget confinements.
I am attending Mount Carmel and they are offering a care shared option for 1650euro. You get 3 scans, all bloods, delivery fees, epidural(if required) 2/3 nights semi private…[Read more] -
