  • I think that Biggins is just in the dark about what poems like this mean to most mothers. Men come from a whole different point of view.
However, when mothers read heart-warming poems and short stories that focus on children, we immediately identify with it and relate it to our own kids. We have so many worries about their welfare and their…[Read more]

I think I was just a little sick after reading that

God awful place to stash money…I shall be inspecting every Euro note I receive from now on 🙁

…even then…blachh. Thank god for the Laser card.

Personally I don’t think the EU can throw us out, or would even try. It’s built upon unification, not ostracization.

I think all treatys are inaccessible to the lay-person. Legal documents are all the same.
How many of us have read the Irish constitution? The most important document in this land. They just don’t make for good reads for…[Read more]

I find it really hard to go past someone who is begging without dropping some coins in thier cup. I know I shouldn’t as it encourages them to keep doing it, but they look so pitiful. I wish the state would do moreabout them.

There should be tighter restrictions on people coming here to beg…I mean what kind of ambiton is that.

  • Welcome Songbird…I look forward to chatting with you.

Ok so the NO’s got it. Does that mean democracy won? Yes it does. There are always going to be two sides to a debate, that’s what democratic freedom gives us.

I am bitterly disappointed though. I think that The LT was not perfect, but it was a start. As member states we would have had the ability to stop any things we did not like, just…[Read more]

  • I think that there are good and bad areas on both sides, but we usually like to talk about the side we are on. Drogheda has some nice estates, but some god awful ones too. I think a cul-de-sac estate is the best with kids as it seems safer…but that could be on either side of the town. BTW is Termonfeckin the most unfortunate town name in…[Read more]

Yes thank goodness they were wearing seatbelts. When I grew up pepole didn’t even wear them in cars, never mind coaches, so it is all for the best in the long run.

Didn’t really see it coming, but in hindsight it comes down to who he can have a good working relaitonship with. Claire would have been too strong and quite the finished article (in her eyes), whilst Lee is like a faithful puppy. He is a bit rough around the edges, but will do well under Sir Al.

Also, I don’t think that Claire would have…[Read more]

Sorry girls, I couldn’t do it…I tried to watch it but it was just too much. Reality-Show-type-voyeurism is fine, honestly. I enjoy it with the apprentice and other reality shows but these people are just so…so…so…nothing!

All they have are regional English accents, funny hiar and the desire to expose themselves.

    What is it that…[Read more]

  • I feel sorry for your friend NickySM and I hope she gets through this. Of course the tragedy is the kids have to go along on the ride too 🙁

The pressures that young mothers have are a lot. People don’t realize that you have to struggle through trying to find out information concerning schools, doctors, benefits. Then you have to be…[Read more]

I can’t believe this is still going on….dead…horse..beaten already. It’ll just be a bunch of oversexed and gender confused post adolescents subjecting us to their body malfunctions and underdeveloped relationship building skills.

Besides all that I did love the first few: D …I will probably tune in for the highlights with that Geordie…[Read more]

The fact remains that cross-party political support is there for the YES vote. These people are not perfect, they make mistakes, some are more than likely corrupt, but it is not in their nature to unilaterally agree on topics. They may still be wrong on Lisbon, but we elect them because of there perceived experience knowledge and interest in the…[Read more]

Wow…What was she saying a Zondo? Funny. I am not great with cars, but you can learn if you beleive in the product.

Great that Michael went. He looked like a beaten man all the way through.

On the radio yesterday a prominent no voter was discussing the same things mentioned in this forum. He was going alongnicely for a while and making some coherent points, not unlike Biggins, but then out of the blue he started talking about how the world is turning and taking us for a ride. Big world wide conspiracies that are all holistically…[Read more]

Biggins…don’t be naive. 😯 Of course it favours business and trade. How do you think we put food on our tables?!? More jobs from successful business ventures.

Politicians want Ireland to be competitive, which is why we see bi-partisan support on the YES vote. They know, as do business leaders, that with Europe more open we have mor…[Read more]
