Ohhh – that is really bad!!

My dd had her 2nd class check up around March and I asked about the 4th class one for ds – I was told it would be atleast Christmas. We actually got it last week. Ashbourne are picking up for the backlog in Duleek.

I read recently, that there are areas where the kids are not getting seen at all until 6th class…[Read more]

Thanks Financial Controller. I will try that. I got no response at all from logged on their website. Very surprised at how bad their customer services is – I have bought a lot of products in another section of their company and they had excellent, in store support.

I was too. No, I did not ask to speak to the manager. I logged a call through their online complaints service – just to get a paper trail. It says that I will get a 24hour response but have had no response.

My next step will be to get a quote to either repair or re-upholster. Then I am going through the small claims court. I pay 25euro to log my…[Read more]

Well, after the last update, I went into my retailer armed with the information, relating to the sale of goods act. I was redirected to a phone number for their customer service team. Told they would probably send someone out to inspect before deciding what to do.

Anyhow, rang customer services and got a lady, who more or less told me that it was…[Read more]

Since reading this, my two year old sofa has decided to part at the seams – literally!! On one of the recliner sections, there is a seam and the stitches have decided to pull apart. I was looking into getting it fixed but now I think, my first port of call will be with the retailer. Just read this online as well, very relevant:

    6. Once a…[Read more]

If they are actually paying you the difference between the state maternity pay and your wages – then check your contract, you probably do or you will owe them money.

If you are just getting the statutory maternity benefit, then you must give proper notice. So, if you have to give a month, send them a letter, a month before you are due back. They…[Read more]

Apparently, pipe has been installed and filled in. So, hopefully, water will start to return over the next day.

Keep an eye on your neighbours. In Duleek, the local councillor put a facebook request out for teens to deliver water to the elderly. There is a large group after getting involved and are busy going around to whoever needs.

My Mam and Dad are more rural, they had a man arrive with 20lites to them this morning.

Stain resistant and non-iron!! Keeps their shape. The white polos are still white at the end of the year.

    Hi Haileysmum,

Horrible news – hope everyone is starting to improve. Just thought the attached might be of use to them. Years ago, my car was hit by an uninsured driver. Luckily, Ihad just gotten out of it. Silly twat had just passed driving test, bought a car to bring home and confused the accelerator with the brake!!

Anyone, here is how they…[Read more]

Poor, poor lady – I hope there is nothing broken. So much for a bit of dignity when we get older. Hopefully, she recovers soon and get out of there.

My son was suffering really bad in May and most of June. Strangely, does not appear to be affecting him this month. I tried the Pirition and did not find it any good. Switched to Zirteck and a boots product that you blast up the nose. It apparently blocks the pollen from getting up.

Anyhow, seems to have recovered almost completely this month.…[Read more]

Hah – not surprised at all!! I have been there a few times. The slowest fast food restaurant ever. The staff all look miserable

Thanks ladies. I never actually got to that talk. He got distracted by the Grenfell Tower. He did think that was terrorists too but explained it was a fire.

He remembers walking by that building in London last year. Seems to be very interested in the news now.

Thanks Haileysmum, I will have a look out for that – worth a try.

Our had none most of last week. They have their standardised tests done and seem to be doing very little now. Lots of sports going on.

Munchkin – mine do exactly the same – under the bed, behind the bed, in the wardrobe and in the dollhouse!!

    Arrgh – horrible!

Our school has weeks of bug busting. You have to wash hair, put in conditioner, comb through(as apparently the conditioner makes them immobile), rinse hair and then comb through again. Used to take a half hour on dd but now, I brush first then do the combing. You do this again, three days later, then another three days and…[Read more]

I have this with my 8yo daughter. Messy missy!! Getting attitude when I tell her to pick her stuff up. I have a feeling she will be very busy tomorrow morning!! Or there will be a very large bin bag going in there. She does not do the food though!

My son goes through phases – this week his room is super tidy. A week or so ago, there was the…[Read more]

So, very, very sad – poor babies – may they rest in peace. Everyone there that night will be traumatised. I have been reading about the victims but had to stop and it just makes me cry.

I woke up the other morning, to the radio saying 22 dead in Manchester. Which gave me an awful shock, as just back from two days wandering around Manchester. A…[Read more]
