Congrats Pookie 😀 Fair play to you planning on being out on Tuesday! Unfortunately my dp won’t be able to make it. I forgot we have a hospital appt for our ds1 but he’ll be at the next one. Hope there is a good turn out for it.

Hi Chewieodie, if you walk down the town and take a left at X-tra Vision(nearly 100% sure) its down there on the left. Don’t forget to put a ticket in your car in the super valu car-park. I’ve seen cars clamped there before. Enjoy!

Hi pookie2, my dp would definitely be interested in meeting up with other dads. From next Monday he is going to be staying home with our 2 boys and as we’re not originally from the area he wouldn’t know anyone that would be around during the day.
The m1 service station could be a good starting point.. -

Hi Razzle Dazzle, I have no advice for you sorry but really wish you the very best of luck.
I think if it were me I would try the ECV first, I have heard it is painful but don’t know any more about it. I think because of having another lo and it being so close to Christmas I would try to avoid a section if the ECV could work.
Let us know how you…[Read more] -

I second Anne for her cakes. She’s done birthday & Christening cakes for me & they’ve been gorgeous. You can ask for a design or use one of hers. Really reasonable. Fab cup cakes too 🙂

newmomma replied to the topic 9 month developmental in the forum Pregnancy, Mums2Be, Birth, New Parents 14 years, 3 months ago
Yeh there is a huge difference between an 18 month old & a 2 year old. My ds 1 had his check at about 20 months because the phn was here to do ds2’s 3 month check, & came back a month later to re-check his speech. If he had been assessed at 2 years it would have been different again. They are so busy in Balbriggan I suppose they just can’t get…[Read more]

Hi Scarlett,
The next development check is done between about 18 months & 2 years.
You can always ring the health centre to check up on appts – I think the appts are made in Coolock but the phn’s can ring & find out when they are – I’ve just done this for my ds’s 9 month check!

Hi my dp got a phone call like this during the week. The guy said our lap-top was running very slow and an error report had been sent to windows. He said if dp could log in he would be able to fix the problem remotely. Dp said he didn’t know anything about it & would ring me to see. He said the guy was very persistent too. I told him not to let…[Read more]

Thanks for your reply. There isn’t anything new in our garden or the neighbours garden. We’re going to take up all the bark & replace it & hopefully that’ll help.

newmomma replied to the topic Starting School Age? in the forum Education 14 years, 5 months ago
I think it might depend on where you live too. I live in Balbriggan & there are loads of young kids. When I went to put my ds’s name down for schools each school had a cut off of June, so my ds because he was born in September can’t start until he is 5. None of the schools would take him at at 4. But where my mum lives is a much older community &…[Read more]
