The Book Thief is a great read and I highly recommend Local author Nicola Pierce’s new book City of Fate also set during WW2 but in Russia it is aimed at kids aged 10-14 but will be enjoyed by adults as well.

Don’t forget to pop into your local Waterstones if you are based near Drogheda. Not many towns are lucky enough to have such a large bookstore with a fabulous range and a fantastic kids section.
