  • Sadly this isn’t that uncommon I’d guess, only difference is that they got caught!! I have a major issue with people leaving their "older" children in charge of the younger ones. Whilst I think it is important to give children responsibilities as they mature, I disagree that children should ever have responsibility for other children’s safety.…[Read more]

  • There was an article a few weeks ago in one of the Sunday papers….its all above board, legal and already happening!!! You basically swap houses, deeds etc….your mortgage repayments stay the same as you don’t actually change the mortgage at all…I presume the banks have to agree that the house you are swapping with is of same value as…[Read more]

    1) I stay up to watch TV when there is a programme on that hubby has NO interest in (and equally he does that same)…I don’t want to watch all about the gas composition of the earth’s core!!!!!!!!!

  • So so sad, shocking yet not a surprise!! We were due to see her in Dublin a few years ago and she pulled out at the last minute. Just hope people will appreciate and remember her for her amazing talents rather than her demons….angers me so much when I see people writing things about her now, calling her a "junky"…that is such a disgusting term…[Read more]

  • Whilst I agree with you Moonflower I have to say that I’m no spring chicken 😳 but still have the view that one should not smoke when pregnant!! I am a very tolerant person, life has made me so especially through the jobs I have done (I worked for years with families experiencing many challenges such as drug use) and I would never be…[Read more]

  • I am very passionate in my belief that woman should NOT smoke whilst pregnant! Yes, it must be very hard to stop if you find yourself unexpectedly expecting, but the health and welfare of the unborn child is way more important than the addiction. I respect women who cut down and quit when they find they are pregnant, but I get so so angry when I…[Read more]

Yeah, David Murray is great…I saw a place near the Library (think thats Stockwell Street) that had an ad in window saying €15 blowdries by juniors…most hair dressers are doing specials now, which is great!! Peter Marks have also lowered their prices further, something to do with lower VAT…nothing like a blow dry to make you feel a million dollars!!

  • Get out the stone washed jeans and the mullets!!!!:lol:

  • I agree…when our first cat died a few months ago my 5year old was heart broken. But when we talked through it and he saw that she just looked asleep he was fine. He said he though there would be "blood all over her"…death is part of life and having pets as a child definitely helps children to understand…but what bad luck for us to loose this…[Read more]

  • Our cat was knocked down in the next estate to ours, a lovely man who lives there saw our posters and phoned to let us know. We had another cat for 8 years, she was very much one of the family, we got her before we had the kids and she moved with us from Dublin…she was killed only a few months ago and my eldest son was heart broken (the vet said…[Read more]

  • Sad to say that I received a call from a lovely man earlier to tell me he had found our cat…he had been knocked down and had died. We are sad but at least now we know. Its horrible waiting for a pet to come home, wondering if they are ok… 🙁
