If they do come to the door again, don’t cower away, you are in the right. Stand, smile (tightly), be polite and say that you disagrre, that the noise emanating from your house is not…[Read more]

Richard Bilton (BBC reporter)
Louis Theroux
Predictable, but I wouldn’t say no to Brad Pitt
Jamie MacFarlane – c.1980 ( I loved him since we were 5 and in primary school, he moved towns at 11 and broke my heart, have never forgotten him, we used to laugh together so much. Recently rediscoverd him on fb, the years have not been kind to the face but…[Read more] -

Yeah u right Taylor…
What I didn’t make explicit in my last post I suppose is that I meant that the balance will subtly change most likely after 2 yrs have passed (this is what has been found in grief counselling). Basically, there are fewer gales and more breezes.
Can vouch for this. Between us in last 4 yrs, my dh and I have lost a brother,…[Read more]

This isn;t something you will "get over", but as much as it mightn’t…[Read more]

Read it about 5 yrs ago at book club in UK, remember thinking it was very powerfully written. Makes a lot of self-examination of your own parenting (style) occur I think, some of it uncomfortable.

When mums are considering giving up work, i think one area they don’t contemplate is the wealth of opportunities that will reveal themselves to them AFTER you’ve stopped working. You never know who you will meet, what interests you will uncover, the talents you will (re)discover about yourself and the avenues that will present themselves once you…[Read more]
