There are alot of civil servants who are earning just above the minimum wage. Alot of the civil seravnats and public servants who work in local councils are at clerical officer grade and would be earning under €30,000 even at the top of the scale.
There is also a misconception about the pension entitlements of public servants. You have to d…[Read more]

Normally a person gets 6 months full pay and then this is reduced to half pay and continue to send the social welfare cheques to his employer. Half pay can be up to 6 months and after that there is no payment from the employer and if an employee is on sick leave for longer than 12 months they receive the social welfare illness benefit.

I used curves in Drogheda when it was in Mell. This was before I became pregnant and I did it until I was 6 months pregnant. I went 3 to 4 times a week. I found it very good. Its not like any other gym. Basically you do a circuit of different thing for 30 seconds twice. It kkeps you movint and you never get bored. The fact it is only a 30…[Read more]

bunnacurry replied to the topic Breast or Bottle – the right to choose! in the forum Louth Chat 15 years, 11 months ago
every mother has the right to choose which is best for them – breast or bottle. What ever the mother is comfortable with will be the best method for her and she should not be put under pressure for which ever option she chooses. I was bottlefed along with all my siblings and we have never had any major illnesses except for the common childhood…[Read more]

Also watched the programme last night. Was shocked by it. It was terribly sad. The majority of these women were very young when they were deprived of having the chance of having any more children. Fair play to the midwife and everyone else who took a stand to expose what was going on. many lessons have been learned and many of us have…[Read more]

I agree with wellness coach on the points raised. It was exercise which changed my attitude and got me slim. Exercise is now a major part of my lifestyle and I find it is a good way to de-stress after a hard day at the office and at home looking after family. I have learned to find an hour for myself to exercise at least 5 times a week no…[Read more]

I was there on Sunday night with a group. Food was great but the service was a bit chaotic. One our group didn’t get his main course on time. They forgot about it but we did enjoy it. The piano, music and atmosphere is good. The owner seems a right charater drinking his expressos at the door way. Would definitely go again.

The best way to kep the weight off is to lose it slowly and steadily because you’re making lifestyle changes that you will keep. I wouldn’t recommend things like lipotrim. To lose 2 or 3 stone in a couple of weeks is not healthy and could cause health problems inthe future. Also losing the weight so quickly quickly means that you stop what ever…[Read more]

I lost three stone since January this year. For many years I wanted to lose weight but I just didn’t seem motivated enough. This year I just decided not to find excuses for not excercising or looking after myself. The major changes I made was to ensure I brought in my lunch every day to work, even if it meant preparing it the night before hand.…[Read more]

bunnacurry replied to the topic How many eggs should a 2 & half year old eat in a week? in the forum National Chat 16 years, 1 month ago
As far as I know eggs have good cholestrol and are not as bad as the media made out years ago. They are a good source of protein and omega 6 or 3. I can’t remember which one. So they are a good brain food and for repairing the body. I woudln’t worry about how many eggs per week with a young child. One egg per day would not do him any harm.…[Read more]

I walked it in 87 minutes so was very pleased. I have been training since January, and exercised 5 times a week, starting with 30 minutes and working up to 60mintues by March. My mother in law had this. Unfortunately she wasn’t diagnosed until two years ago and it was much too late for anything to be done. If its caught earlier it is very treatable, however you have to avoid fortified iron products such as many cereals and breads. If boht parents are a carrier than the chances of the child developing it is 1 in 4. A…[Read more]

Yeah, I saw it. I thought it was well presented. Even though she was verysceptical of reflexology from a science perspective she could see the other benefits of it in today’s society where health professionals just don’t have sufficient time to spend with their patients and reflexologists are able to fill this gap. Looking forward to the rest…[Read more]
