This is what we were chatting about at the last Mumstown meetup. I wont say I’ve master it as that would be chancing fate 😆 but over the years and 5 children later this works for me. I use lavander oil sprinkled on the bed covers to relax the boys down and then I put soothing music on low to relax them and drown out any other noises in the…[Read more]

would you consider getting someone out to look and see if its only a small problem that could be repaired cheaply. On a lighter note, my sisters dishwasher died too a few weeks ago and she had bought another one. when she went to pull out the old one she suddenly saw the plug was half pulled out of the wall 😳 and thats all that was…[Read more]

MUMMY5 replied to the topic What to say…? in the forum National Chat 8 years, 2 months ago
I was in a similar situationmyself when my little girl was born and it turned out she had a medical condition which resulted in her having heart problems initially going on to have cerebral palsy. Other people may have seen a tough road ahead for me but when my baby was born she was my baby, loved and welcomed into the world and our family just…[Read more]

Well I’ve been there, done that and learnt a bit along the way. With my 2 daughters when they asked was it all real I took that as a sign to tell them the truth……..big mistake. Fast forward and a few years later they told me that the first time they asked they never expected to be told it wasnt real…..all they were looking for was…[Read more]

MUMMY5 replied to the topic Sex offenders – do they ever change? in the forum National Chat 8 years, 3 months ago
When we hear of crimes committed in the past many people forget that people are tried under the laws’ that were in place at the time the crime was committed.
Criminal Law (Rape) Act 1981 reads very differently to the Criminal Law (Rape) (Amendment) Act 1990. But a crime committed before 1990 cannot be tried under the 1990 act. This means that…[Read more]

MUMMY5 replied to the topic BREAST CHECKS in the forum National Chat 8 years, 7 months ago
So true Sabbi, sometimes we think its a ‘lump’ we will find but its not always that way. Sometimes it can even be so subtle as a niggling achy feeling under your armpit and it can be a first sign of cancer. Your breast tissue ( and lymph nodes) reaches up under your armpit area and it can be there that might be your first ‘sign’ something not…[Read more]
