    Dear All,

As part of a research project we wish to invite you to take part in an online survey about parental monitoring. The research is being conducted by Dr. Aisling O’Donnell and Ailsa Seoighe in the Department of Psychology. Taking part in this research requires approximately 30 minutes of your time and you will be asked to answer questions about your relationship with your adolescent child. More details are attached; please read these before deciding whether or not you would like to take part.

The only requirement for participation is that you are a parent to an adolescent who is between 13 and 19 years of age. This study has received ethical approval from the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences (2013_03_50_EHS). If you are willing to participate in this research then please click on the link below or paste the link into your browser window. This will open an external survey website.

As an incentive for taking part in the online survey, you will have the opportunity to input your email address to enter a prize draw. Entering your email address is optional, but you can be assured that this information will be stored separately from your survey responses. Following the completion of the study, one randomly selected prize draw entrant will receive a gift voucher for two nights Bed and Breakfast in Kilmurvey House Guesthouse on Inis Mór, Aran Islands. If you have any questions or comments on this research then please feel free to contact the researchers by sending an email to: aisling.odonnell@ul.ie .
