Why does Drogheda playground close at 8pm in summer?

Didnt realise, even though there is really big sign saying it , , that playpark closes at 8pm in the summer. Came in from Clogherhead one evening bout 7.30 thinking I’d let the kids tire themselves out and only in the park and the guy comes to close up. He also closes the carpark which people also use when walking down by the river. Was awful to see so many children and parents leaving the playpark on a beautiful summer evening that was so warm and the children were defenitately still enjoying themselves.

I understand it has to close at some time but maybe 9 would be a better time for a summer evening. I can understand closing earlier in the dark winter nights but not in the bright summer nights.

there’s a brill playground in ardee as far as i know it doesnt close
