KeymasterI think the family are great, its brilliant to have them all in it together. That young girl is at the age where she is about to come in for some awful bullying if she does get her weight under control. I hope they do well. Its a great show, really motivates people.

MemberShe was very big god bless her, all her peers were tiny compared to her! Great too see the family getting up and doing something
The rail workers are great, did you see the yummy breakfast roll your man was eating…. i could have licked the telly 😆 😆 😆January 6, 2011 at 11:11 am #106990beams
MemberI loved the school headmaster – baking cakes for his staff …i’d love a boss like that and the boxes and tins of sweets 😆 😆 I felt so sorry for the 21 year old – nows the time she should be socialising and enjoying her youth – i think i will follow the lady who owns the bakery …. 😀

KeymasterI think the lady who owns the bakery will do very well – she seems like a very strong person, 4 kids and a business, she is some woman!!
What do ye think about the idea of the National walk and the mini marathon in the Phoenix park? Would any of ye be up for doing something? or heading along?

ParticipantI felt so sorry for that 21 yr old. When I was 21 I was a size 6 (which was impossible to buy) and I got awful bullying about it…. obviously I grew out of it!!! But I still remember it and my teenager is thin too and I know she gets loads of flak over it also.
Anyway I didn’t do it last year but this year I’m following Sinead Heffernan. I figure I’ve got a lot in common with her. She has four kids, I have 2, a Mother and a Husband who all have me running around every spare minute of the day. I work part-time and then I’m also working at my Cake Business. I never seem to have time to do anything for myself and if I do I have to put it into the calendar about 2 weeks in advance and you can be sure something will still crop up and I’ll end up cancelling it at least twice, lol.
The food thing is my problem, I don’t eat salads or a lot of greens but I can still eat a lot healthier than I do and increase my activity and I definitely need to lose weight. Today I got out for a walk, first one in months and I’m determined that by the time I have to walk out on stage in February when the Orchestra is on tour, I’ll be well on my way to acheiving the goal I’m setting for myself.
Count me in for the Mini Marathon or walk, this year is going to be for my year for looking after myself and getting myself back to feeling like me instead of the Chauffeur Cook & Maid!
