Just heard on the news that Brian Cowen has said he will not resign.
Members of Fianna Fail are even asking him to step down in the face of the revelations that he played golf with Seanie Fitzpatrick a few weeks before the Anglo Crash. How could they not have discussed it? He was the previous finance minister, out for a game of golf with the chair of Anglo and he expects us to believe it never came up. Come on….
It is beyond embarrassing, can he not be sacked for cavorting with Seanie Fitzpatrick, one of the people responsible for the state this country is in?
Another day, another mess, another embarrassment. He is shameful.
I think that alot of things have gone on that werent the best choices, i think his main failure was as minster of Finance, he dont a piss poor job, but he has plodded along as leader after being handed a roasting hot potato….. but for this latest outcome, yes he should GO…. i dont believe a word he says, if nothing happened well why didnt he come out and say "oh i played a round of golf!"
