    Dancing for Birth Class

    Sunday December 4th

    10.30am – 12:30pm

City North Hotel on the M1

    Prebooking essential – € 30

Vertical Birth means labouring in a various instinctual upright positions – working with gravity, your body and your baby. It can shorten the birth process, give you a sense of control and is associated with more positive birth experiences.

During this interactive fun birth preparation class you’ll learn the following:

How to increase the space available to your baby moving through the pelvis (no squatting required).

How to help your baby into the optimal position for birth with simple movements influenced by cultures from around the world with current chart music (this is not your average Active Birth class with Enya)

Simple, smart breathing technqiues that work.

Comfort measures using the pregnancy ball, rebozo and positions for home and hospital.

This 2 hour class can be taken at anytime during pregnancy. Classes are tailored to every level of fitness and Mums do not need to have any dancing background – but a sense of humour is a must. Mums learn dance moves that are inspired by Latin, African and Belly dancing – think it is as a fun low impact Zumba class. Mums also learn birth preparation skills and comfort measures for the most positive birth possible.
