I received a very interesting letter today. I have filled in the enrolment form for my ds to start the local ns in September. I have been waiting to see if he gets in – as there was an issue with space two years ago. Anyhow, I have not heard anything.
This morning, I got a letter from the ns inviting me to see a therapist about school readiness and the transition into school. I can only assume that he will actually be going now!!! It was also aimed at parents with children already in the school – possibly children who are having problems.
Is this a standard practice now? I have already signed off on permission for them to call doctors if required and the method of discipline. I only hope that they are as dedicated to teaching my child as they appear to be on paperwork and politics.
