Hi Folks, if you are an Eircom broadband customer, they are almost ready to roll out the service (many areas already have the lines down and exchanges ready) but you need to register your interest in the service. You can do this by going to http://www.eircom.ie/efibre and filling in a few details (only takes a minute) and they will contact you as soon as your area is ready.
Ha ha, I’m not sure HMM but they said "Drogheda" is ready to run, so might be worth registering with them if you are with Eircom (although it also asks if you are an existing Eircom customer, so possibly non-customers can also register interest.)
The Australians have a phrase – ‘beyond the black stump’ – it means the back of beyond. In terms of broadband access that has to be Knockbridge! 3 miles from Dundalk and can’t get 1 meg of power – even though paying for next generation speeds. Grrrrrrrr
