What do you recommend for summer holidays with 3 kids? We are torn between exploring Ireland and goings overseas … HELP! Any ideas?

I suppose it depends on a number of things. We have decided with a sun holiday this year for a number of reasons. Firstly, we haven’t been to the sun for a couple of years, secondly, I need a bit of sun to get rejuvinated, thirdly, accommodation in Ireland is so expensive that it is cheaper to go away for a week.
What age are your children. What would suit them and you in regards to being entertained while away. Pool/beach versus whatever ireland has to offer. WHat about nightlife, family friendly sun holiday versus family friendly restaurants. Cost of eating out abroad versus costs here.
Personally, I would be more inclined towards a sun holiday in a family friendly hotel. That way you know the children will be well entertained while away. Saying that i’ve no real experience so maybe some others might have some good ideas.
Sun hol all the way…
My 1st single mom hol I took the kids to Blackpool n they loved it but it cost just as much as a week in Spain by the time we changed money n stuff. I just thought the kids were too young for a sun hol at the time 1 1/2 n 3
Last October we went to Mallaga as a group (63 of us) for my sis’ wedding n had a fantastic time, dunno if it was the fact that nan n grandad were on call or the fantastic weather for 10 days but everyone had a brilliant time. Kids were happy to play by the pool n well behaved when we went out to eat so this year we are gonna try 2 weeks in Teneriffe just the 4 of us.
