My DD loves to write (scribble)..she has such a serious expression on her face when she does it (so cute), she does a lot of arts/crafts at her creche. Is it possible to buy crayons/markers that r suitable for a toddler (17 mths)…non-toxic markers?? she still puts a lot of stuff in her mouth!! Oh and they’d need to be washable?

Yeah they put them in their mouth, my 11 months eats them while ds1 is colouring, but they are like a pen with a crayon tip so its just like chewing on a biro iykwim and not on the crayon
I got mine in Tesco for 3 or 4 euro…. dont get the colouring pencils but the crayon ones, very alike

check smyths they have baby’s first crayons they are in an animal casing not discribing properly but designed for little fingers, what about even getting a wipe away magnet board with the pen attached, she can doodle her life away and they wipe away no paper and can be brought anywhere, i found this great for the car when my ds was small and now and again bring it with us in the car and resteraunts…

I use the Crayola chunky crayons from smyths. They will still put them in their mouths so you just have to keep watching them. I buy the A4 sheets of white photocoopy paper in tesco which are real cheap but keeps them going for ages.

I also got the mat in smyths where you fill the pens with water and when they write on the mat the colours appear. Can’t remember the name of it but was a real good one too.

Still think cant beat paper and crayons etc. I keep some in the nappy bag so if were out anywhere out they come.

They’re called Tomy Aquadraw, they are great especially for my nearly 3 year old, who went through a stage of drawing on EVERYTHING, walls, floors, windows lol!! Had to banish all markers, crayons for a while 😆 but hes not as bad now thank God!
