If you haven’t come across Irish author Stuart Neville yet, get to it ASAP!! He is a cracking, award winning author from Belfast and his books are absolutely fantastic! See more here

The first book we read was ‘The Twelve’ (Its titled as The Ghosts of Belfast in US), its a really original book about a man who is haunted by his past and is trying to set it right. He is such a complex character, very flawed but I found myself rooting for him all the way through. It is a rollicking read, cannot recommend it enough. 10/10

Next up, we read ‘Collusion’ which is a follow on from The Twelve and its just as gripping. This is the kind of author where you can easily read into the middle of the night because you just cannot put the back down. The characters are really well written, you can absolutely see them clear as day from the way he writes them. Very imaginative and full of quirky Irish language. Love it!!

Stolen Souls is another corker from Stuart Neville, about a girl who has been trafficked to Belfast with the promise of a better life but that is not what she finds. A real page turner, another addictive read from this wonderful writer

In The Final Silence we meet DI Serena Flanagan for the first time and its the the first in a series of books with her at the heart of them. A mother of two with lots of struggles, she is a fearsome Detective and not to be messed with!!

Another gripping read which is a DCI Serena Flanagan thriller….two boys accused of a vicious murder are being released back into society but is it safe for them to be back in among the public……

DCI Serena Flanagan is on the case again when she is called to the scene of the apparent suicide of a businessman, but she suspects his widow and local priest are hiding something.
