probably like me , many of you are/were shocked to hear the news that Stephen Gately passed away suddenly in Majorca yesterday.
I thought hubby was taking the mick when he called me from work this morning and told me.Its awful, my hear goes out to his Partner , family,friends and of course follow boyzone members.
He was so likeable there was nothing you could fault in him , he was so open about who he was and what he belived in , if only there was more like him in the world.

this is shocking can’t belive it…mad…
they said they are not treating death as suspicous, which dh reckons he killed himself……poor chap we’ll see what’s revealed, but can’t believe it he was so young….

Thank God for his family that the results came back as a natural death, fluid in the lungs or something like that…….. I know it wont bring him back but Im sure it makes it that bit easier for the family, at least the media wont be raking over a drug or weird sex death 😯
Thanks goodness the postmortem proved he died of natural causes, otherwise the press would have had a field day. At least the family have peace of mind in that regard – although I’m sure its little comfort to them at the moment

just caught end of memorial prog on TV3…dont think i could of watched it all…so sad..he had so much more life to enjoy…but yes thats a blessing it was natural causes it would of been awful to see him ripped apart in press…
I watched it too on TV3, so sad, he was just so young and had so much more to do.
I think it really hits home as he was only 33. U just dont know. Scary.
Hope the family and friends will be all left alone now to grieve for their son and friend.

Makes you think how we should live each day and stop worrying about the stupid stuff!! Sometimes it takes something like this to make you reassess! I have been so wrapped up in stressing out about work and the lack of sleep my child is causing me ( 👿 ) but really, life is good…we should all try to think of something to make us smile at least once a day…I am starting now! 🙂
watched the funeral yesterday on sky, so so sad, I was in tears watching it. It was a lovely service, but so emotional.
The eulogy that the boys done was moving and funny at the same time
The boys done Stephen proud, and his family too. I also think it was great the way the local people volunteered and painted the church and cleaned up the area.
People from that background are so genuine and its one place where people still rally around and look after each other…. "the salt of the earth"
It was sooo sad but very dignified, when Ronan broke down I think that started everyone off…… hard to believe someone so young gone forever, I think they feel he will be back and he’s not really gone
