Roddy Doyle (who wrote such classics as ‘The Commitments’ and ‘The Snapper’ and many other short stories) has written a story for this years St Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin city centre. It’s called ‘Brilliant!’

It is also in libraries all over the country. Parents & children can log on either of the above sites and read the story online or get a copy from their local library.
The idea is parents will read the story with their children and then, on the day when watching the parade, the floats will tell the story as they pass by.
Roddy was on the Late Late talking about it, the story sounds really good. Very apt for these troubled times…..
