god I sound like a moan but honestly so bored outta me tree
think I’m going mad..the lil fella is so active hes 14 months and
trying to mind him and feel so drained all the time…we went away
fr our anniversary sat night I just wanted to go to bed early..how exciting haha…
does anyone else just get so fed upNovember 9, 2009 at 3:28 pm #81254JedtKeymasterYes, yes and yes!!!
Being a mum is wonderful but it can be sooo challenging sometimes….its good to have a little rant and get it off your chest though. Its hard being at home sometimesand running after a very active little one (my two year old is going through the spilling water, scratching DVD’s and colouring herself in with markers stage)
Every time I take my eyes off her she gets up to some sort of mischief. I love it and its great fun but sometimes, when I’m mopping the floor for the 5 time, I do go a bit mad!
Meathmum – do you get out much without the little fella? We have parent & baby swims on Fridays at Bettystown Court Hotel in Meath and we’ve started roller skating (without kids, yippee!) on Friday nights in Funtasia in Drogheda and we have a Christmas night out on 11th Dec and coffee mornings etc. that you could come to – give you a chance to meet other mums in the same boat as you?
It’s good to get out and about with the little guy and when you can, without him too! A little bit of adult company can keep you sane…
Take care!!
November 9, 2009 at 6:22 pm #81269joey_ruddMemberI know what you mean, i love my children but boy do i long for some me time
i spent today cleaning, drying, tidying and chucking things out at at bedtime it looks like a bomb site again 🙄
you really should come to one of the get togethers or skating (thank you mumstown and littleleaf for that one 😀 )
go ahead moan away 😆November 9, 2009 at 8:04 pm #81276missysmumMemberyep, i know what you mean!
love my dd so much but so many days are ground hog days in this house. i dont get out enough either but i have decided that has to change. i went to the bagel bar meet up this month for the first time and it was great. definitely you need to get out with or without the little ones just to break the monotony. you could do me a favour and drop in to me for a coffee with your ds if you felt like it for something different? sounds like we both need to meet people and have a change of scenery.
hthNovember 9, 2009 at 8:59 pm #81282sweetpea1979Memberhere here – definately need time to yourself! doesn’t matter what you do – it always feels like there is some little body hanging out or off me…..maybe we should all get together and little kids play and we chat? what you reckon girls?
November 9, 2009 at 9:01 pm #81283scole1Memberi so hear ya, and no doubt you’re not the only mom who feels the same and if any mom says no my kids are a joy i never get fed up they are either a) lying or b) on drugs or drunk 😆 😆
i think many mom’s just want that few mins or hours or even days alone, being just me/you time….
– like peeing by yourself.
– not having to wash the floor a load of times coz you did it like 5 mins ago, or you have just hoovered and they mess it up,
– or kids going mom mom mom all the time.
– having to wash, cook, clean and never ending washing that you think you’ve sorted before but seems to be a mgical laundry basket that just keeps adding washing to.
– being able to just go off any time of the day and do something for yourself like look in shops or get hair done spur of the moment without having to organise a baby bag, food, nappy or potty time, toys soothers babysitter etc etccould go on and on but there are days that makes every hair raising moment worth it, but also there are times and places where you can meet other moms and realise that you are not the only mother in the same situation….
so like sabbi said join us or moan here whichever..but remember on those days you think ah god i want just me time i’m fed up remember mumstown is always here and vent…. 😉 but do take a me time also coz that’s what every mom needs….
November 12, 2009 at 11:39 am #81541lizMemberBrain Drain im here looking at the mess of the house but cant do anything cause little man just wants to be held definetly need more outlets that we can go to with the kids were everybody wears pyjamas, and their hair tied back kids are minded while we just stuff our face and watch judge judy at same time a squat team of high performance cleaners tackle the three baskets of washed half washed and DIRTY clothes in the kitchen plus maybe throw on a bit of nutritious organic healthy fair and collect the other kids from school …… sorry i drifted off their but if anyone does hear of such a group i MIGHT be interested 😀
November 12, 2009 at 2:32 pm #81583missysmumMembervery funny liz, sign me up too.
