Have fun with your little monsters this Halloween and raise funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin!

Cow & Gate launches Spooky Smiles for Crumlin fundraising initiative
If you’re looking for ideas on how to make your little monsters smile this Halloween, the Cow & Gate Spooky Smiles for Crumlin appeal should be right up your street!

Following on from their Smiles for Crumlin fundraising initiative which last year raised €62,500 for the hospital’s Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, this Halloween, Cow & Gate is inviting parents from all over Ireland to get involved and help raise funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin’s cardiac and cancer care wards.

To get involved, just plan a sponsored Halloween party and Cow & Gate will send you on a party pack to help you on your way and as a thank you for your donation.

As Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital had 72,601 outpatient attendances in 2011 in addition to 33,980 emergency attendances, 18,325 day cases, 9,808 in-patient admissions and performed 16,373 surgical procedures. The hospital is the national centre of excellence for paediatric cancer and cardiac cases and funding is vital to carry on this lifesaving work and provide first-world conditions for patients, their families and the hospital staff alike.

Speaking about the initiative, Jaime O’Shea, Marketing Director, Cow & Gate said, “We have partnered with Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin on a number of fundraising initiatives in the past and it’s a cause that we are extremely passionate about.

Cow & Gate Spooky Smiles for Crumlin is a chance for parents and children to have great fun together while raising money for a really important cause.”

Joe Quinsey, CEO of the Children’s Medical & Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin spoke of his delight with the generous support and commitment from Cow & Gate.
He said, “Cow & Gate have been a great partner to us and we love the idea of parents and children enjoying themselves together with friends while helping raise such valuable funds. Good luck to all and enjoy the party!”
