    This is very worrying – staff cuts like this will severely impact patients. Not sure what we can do to get it sorted – will ask AIMS to give us some pointers and will keep you all posted.

    Its shocking – there is endless money for tribunals and double & triple pensions for over paid politicians but mums-to-be are lower down on the chain of importance it would seem.

    I know home birth is not something that would suit all mums but I felt so safe and secure having my last 2 babies athome. I was in a clean environment with my own midwife who was 100% dedicated to me. I jad gas & air and access to my own bath and comfy bed afterwardsand the HSE paid for all of it.

    Cannot recommend it highly enough and with the way the hospitals are now, it sounds like a much safer option for mums who might like to give it a go.
