Inactivesister said romanza restaurant going too……said food nice but obviouly not too busy….think every pub is going to find the same. When you can buy a box of Miller for bout €19 for 20 botles thats less than a €1 a bottle……if we have a few bob to spend on going out its so much cheaper to stay in instead. Miss the social thing about going out…..but its too much to pay to go out just for that.

Memberromanza! God thats not even open 6 months, not a good time to start a new business
I heard a big Farmer from the slane road killed himself in his barn last Friday and my cousin told me a barrister in dublin took his life due to the stresses of keeping up his lifestyle and paying for a HUGE wedding they had in the summer, alot of people have lost there arses in the drop in bank share prices, I know my SIL has lost over 40k 😯 😯 😯 She was looking at her AIB shares as her pension

MemberIt will be some Christmas for that family and for many others who will have loved ones kill on the roads over the holidays, but think you could accept an accident easier then someone taking there own life.
Right or wrong my heart was breaking looking as the maddie mc cann video on sky news, so for anyone with money worries there is always someone worse off then you

InactiveIts so sad when people just feel they can’t cope at Christmas or any other time of the year. Money is a funny thing. It can buy you some nice things in life and give you peace of mind but when you get used to it and it goes it can be a curse.
If only people could see money really isnt everything. I used to worry about money just like everyone else and where it was coming from and going too. But I had my rude awakening when my little girl died suddenly at 5yrs old. Her birthday was yesterday and she would have been 9. I miss her but I still enjoy Christmas but I dont stress over the money thing. Money will come and go and if we’re lucky we might have a bit andhave our good times. Many people see the two days. But everthing changes with time and bad times can become better times.
I wish those who feel the stress of financial loss could take a step back and realise its only money and material things. Life is so much more precious and brings so much more happiness.
Lets hope there is no more sad news for families over Christmas and New Year.

MemberI did hear that Bru could be closing alright, shame I liked it there!
It was very sad about the pig farmer, he was actually a first cousin of DH’s Dad… terrible to think that there is no other way out… he left notes for each of his children, so he had it planned.. terrible.December 24, 2008 at 3:23 pm #67934noeleenw

MemberYeah I heard he got out of the pig business a few months back and the bank repossed two jeeps from him last months.
Someone told me that he had a drink problem years ago and was on the dry for many many years, I dont know if this is true or not but anytime I met the man he would just say hello and was very very shy and quiet.
His family are in my prayers -
