• Community groups who have made considerable contributions to society and
sports people who have excelled in their field.
This year, the People of the Year Awards will also make a special award recognising a teacher who has made a particularly significant contribution to the lives of his/her students.
A judging panel made up of leading members of Irish society will select the recipients of these prestigious awards.
The winners will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony to be televised RTÉ1 this Autumn.
