    Operation CITCAAT
CITCAAT – CARING IS TIME CONSUMING AT ALL TIMES!

    (give us a break)

    http://www.petitiononline.ie/petition/c … etition/81

Operation CITCAAT is a collective of parents who are campaigning for improvements to the application processes and lengthy delays in accessing services and entitlements for their children. It has grown out of a group on facebook which addresses and supports each other with a vast range of issues around caring for a child with autism. You can help by signing the petition (all signatures welcome, you do not need to have a child with autism to support) and the group can help you if you have a child with autism by offering a virtual shoulder, ear, hug or high five as and when you may need. Please pm me if you require any more info or would like to join the group. Information below about the campaign…Tks

We have started a campaign to bring to the attention of a number of our new ministers, the issues we have & the need for immediate changes that need to be made in regards, to the processes of applying for Domicilary Care Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Assessmets of Needs. We also need to highlight the huge delays in the HSE system for diagnosis & Early Intervention services.

Through this group we have set up a petition which we ask as many people to sign to show your support in what we are planning to do.

We plan to stand together as a group in protest for our autistic children and demand that urgent changes need to be made in the areas which most affect our children. Ruairi Quinn – Minister for Education & Skills
Joan Burton – Minister for Social Protection
Frances Fitzgerald – Minister for Children
Kathleen Lynch – Minister for Diasbility, Equality & Mental Health
    Enda Kenny – Taoiseach

Tks Maria30, all help is really appreciated, sometimes you feel so self-referential in trying to get what you think is the least your child needs/deserves, that its great to know you are supported. Tks again

    No problem hjs.

My brother in law was mentally and physically disabled and I know how hard his parents had to battle and fight to get respite. They had to fight for everything they needed for him.

I know the same disablities as my brother in law but it looks like you are fighting the same battles.

Heres hoping the new government are better than the last
