2) Are our health professionals working to many hours in one shift? yes/no

3) In your opinion has the hospital got better or worse since the HSE took over? Better/Worse

4) Were you or do you know of anyone allowed to go up to 10 days over their due date and ended up having a section although not planned?

5) Do you believe the cancer unit should stay at the Lourdes? Yes/No

6) Do you believe that who ever is running the hospital should live in the surrounding area? Yes/no

7) Do you believe the Head of Hygiene should come from a medically trained background? Yes/NO

Do you think there is an agenda to close the hospital eventually and open a new and bigger one in Dundalk? Yes/NO

9) Do you know of anyone who has had a mistake made by the Hospital? Yes/No

10) Should the law be changed about the number of hours doctors work on a particular shift? Yes/No

11) Do you believe they provide a good service? yes/No

12) Do you think it would be better for the consultants rooms be moved from the first floor to another floor and invest in making the whole bottom floor into a top class A+E which would serve the this side of the northeast Yes/No

13) Do you know of a patient who has contracted a superbug MRSA orC DIFF from OLOL hospital? Yes/NO

14) Do you believe are local TDs are doing enough? Yes/No

15) Could the local media do more? Yes/No

16) Did you give birth in the Lourdes? Yes/No

17) Did you feel you received the right information and support before and during your birth? Yes/No

18) Do you believe there should be a seperate body chosen by local people who are also involved in what happens to the Lourdes?

19) Are you upset the Lourdes has lost out on funding because of poor performance? yes/no

20) Do you believe setting targers like these and taking funding away is the right answer? yes/no

Thank you for taking part in this if you have, its only for us all to see just how we view how our local hospital is coping now, and would like to add that there are a very dedicated number of people who keep this hospital going. Will let you all know in % terms when poll is taken, might make for some interesting reading, just a thought.

An 8 one time but then about a 5 the next

5) Do you believe the cancer unit should stay at the Lourdes? YES ( we are so lucky to have the Gary Kelly centre in this town, both doing different jobs but complement each other)

6) Do you believe that who ever is running the hospital should live in the surrounding area? YES

7) Do you believe the Head of Hygiene should come from a medically trained background? NO A CLEANING ON, NOT A CLERICAL ONE!

8) Do you think there is an agenda to close the hospital eventually and open a new and bigger one in Dundalk? YES, BUT NOT DUNDALK BUT NORTH DUBLIN OR EAST MEATH

9) Do you know of anyone who has had a mistake made by the Hospital?
NO, BUT ONLY LIVING IN AREA 7 YEARS

10) Should the law be changed about the number of hours doctors work on a particular shift? YES (AND NURSES)

11) Do you believe they provide a good service? YES I DO. BUT I WOULD IMAGINE ITS VERY DISHEARTENING TO WORK WITH ALL THE HSE RED TAPE AND THE LACK OF FUNDING.

YES, THATS A GREAT IDEA

14) Do you believe are local TDs are doing enough? NO, BUT I DO THINK FERGUS O’DOWD DOES HIGHLIGHT IT IN THE NATIONAL PRESS/PRIMETIME ETC.

17) Did you feel you received the right information and support before and during your birth? OH, 100% CANT FAULT THE PLACE ON THAT SIDE

Q 4 is to find out have a lot of women been left up to 10 days to go over their due date and then run into complications trying to give birth because the baby is maybe too big to give birth naturally.

Just wondering how many emargancy sections had to be done to women when left up to 10 days over.
