I have just discovered that I am pregnant at 41. I have 2 children and really did not think I could conceive as I spent years having fertility treatment to get my second child. I miscarried a year ago and am scared that this might happen again, but even more scared of the risks involved in pregnancy at this stage in my life. Any older ( over 40) mothers to be out there??

Congratulations on your surprise news, Im not an older mum but 3 of my neighbours had babies last summer the oldest was 47 and the youngest 43, all three babies fine and healthy. The one thing they did say was they felt this pregnancy more then the others, one said she had suffered with every pain, lump and bump, she put it down to old age. You should see this woman she looks like a 37 year old not a 47 year old, baby keeping her young.
