MemberHi everyone
We’re a group of parents who are campaigning for an Educate Together Secondary School in Drogheda.
All Educate Together schools are child-centred, democratically run, multi-denominational and co-educational! What this means is that parents & guardians are very involved in a meaningful way, with the school, in terms of decision making and planning. The multi-denominational aspect means that all children have equal rights of access to the school, and children of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds are equally respected. Educate Together is committed to encouraging all children to explore their full range of abilities and opportunities.
An Educate Together secondary school will be the same and the pupils or learners will follow the same curriculum as any other school.
Educate Together second-level schools will nurture critical and creative thinkers, problem solvers, effective communicators and innovators.
Our schools will operate as truly democratic learning communities, empowering students, teachers and parents to work together towards educational aims in an atmosphere of equality and respect.
If you would like to know more, please come along to the Laurence Town Centre, on Saturday 5th February, from 11am to 5pm, and meet some of the parents involved, and find out more about our school!
You can complete an Expression of Interest form – to say you would consider sending your child to such a school – by going to our website http://www.droghedaetss.com, and click on the link on the left hand side.
