Our Action Group has been working towards the opening of an Educate Together secondary school in Drogheda for over two years. Parents of nearly 700 children have indicated that they would consider sending their children to such a school. The Action Group feel it’s very important to consult widely, to ensure that parents have the information they need to help them make choices about second-level education, and to engage with the wider community about this proposed school.

We are hosting an information evening, on Tuesday, 12th April, at the Boyne Valley Hotel, at 8pm and we would like to invite you to join us.

The meeting will outline the campaign progress to date and will provide further information to anyone who is interested in Drogheda’s new secondary school. Speakers from the Educate Together national office will attend to outline the details of the curriculum, education policy and Educate Together ethos, and answer any questions that might arise. There will be information on how students’ needs are central to all management and educational decisions, and the parental participation that is so important to and within Educate Together.

We hope you can be there. Please RSVP to rsvp@droghedaetss.com.

I went to the meeting last night.
I did sign the expression of interest (EOI) form a couple of weeks ago, just thinking it could be nice to have the choice when we’ll have to decide for our children.
Now after the meeting, it’s exactly the king of school my husband and I want for our children.
So if you think it’s nice to be able to have the choice, then sign their expression of interest form (this is not an enrollment form).
And like me you might see it not just an extra secondary school but an educate together secondary school with their ethos more centred on childrens potential and abilities.
Don’t delay signing the EOI form.

defo a great oppertunity for children, to be in a school that is leaner centered, and offers a new approach to learning, amking sure each child gets their chance to explore their learning style and achieve their potential…

this i feel is the way forward in education especially and secondary level…

please go to their site, read and fill an expression for in it’s very important, by doing this you are helping your child and others have the oppertunity for such a school….it’s a school for everyone and supporting this cause means everyone benefits….
