hi I dont know if im posting this in the right section, im currently 3 months pregnant and im just wondering are there any changes to this law i heard somthing on the news but have had hypernemisis the last six weeks so ive been kinda out of the loop, i have a little boy whos 3 so that was the last time i was on maternity leave
There are no changes to maternity leave since you were last on it. The EU are trying to bring in a new law regarding full pay for maternity leave but I doubt it ll be passed by the time you go on yours. We all know how slow the wheels of power move:D 😀
Yeah Taylor, 20 weeks full pay. Thats a lowering of the glass ceiling for women. What company is going to employ a woman of child bearing age over a man with the same qualifications? Not many I fear
your right its not going to do any woman in the work force any favours….. maybe the mega big companies could afford to pay it, but your average company to just allow a member of staff to go on maternity leave is a pain in the bum for them, ha now they might have to pay FULL PAY….. great idea and brilliant if you were going on maternity leave, but cant see it happen
Then again i do know smallish companies who could afford to pay something (maybe not full pay for 20 weeks but something) but dont, just because they can get away with it!!
Hope the sickness calms down for you really soon, I had that on DD, yuk it was awful.
