Mums are the most special people in the world (maybe I’m biased because I am one and because my own Mam is brilliant – but I think its true!!)
Mother’s day is a nice way to take the time to tell and show your mum who much she means to you.
It can be a handmade card or homemade cake. It can be a foot rub or running her a bubble bath. Or you can get her a gift or maybe take her out to lunch.
Whatever your budget, we thought it would be a good idea to put together a thread where we can share ideas for ways to treat our mums on 15th March.
For my mum, I am getting her a necklace: http://www.thejewellerytree.ie/Kickass- … ndant.html

February 27, 2015 at 4:42 pm #133350JedtKeymasterI might go out for lunch with my mum on the day. There is a fab little cafe/restaurant in Balbriggan that does really nice food; its very reasonable and you can bring your own wine, so its cheap & cheerful too!
They have a nice menu on for Mother’s day for 16.95: https://www.facebook.com/remoscafebal?fref=nf
My children are so sweet and usually make me breakfast in bed – last year they made me a ham salad sandwich at 8am! The cheese was as thick as plywood but its the thought that counts. Though, it was not easy pretending to eat it at that hour of the morning!!!
My Nanny loves simple things and I usually get her an Elave set of bath products, she likes non smelly stuff like that http://www.elaveskincare.com/collection … e-products and a nice candle for her hall, she likes Bog Standard, so we’ll get her one of those. http://www.bogstandard.ie/

They are very child friendly but you can also have a glass of wine if you feel like it (especially the Mammies on Mother’s day who definitely deserve it!)

March 5, 2015 at 5:29 pm #133395AnonymousInactivehttp://www.myfootner.com/ Exfoliating foot socks
If (like me) any of your mums have dry and cracked skin on your feet after the long winter, then this is a brilliant gift. These Footner ‘foot socks’ are so easy to use, you just pop them on your feet and sit down for an hour and then, take them off and throw them away. Wipe your feet dry and then about 3 days later, all the hard & dead skin falls off your feet.
Better than a pedicure and much cheaper.
Available in Boots stores: http://www.boots.ie/en/Footner-Exfoliat … k_1275069/

I think the ‘Sweet’ necklaces are really cute.
