Memberhi,
i go to one by presbyterian church – across M&S.
group meets every tuesday from 10 to 12, fee €2, plenty of toys for the children=very few quarells. you get tea or coffee, toast, popcorn and juice for the children. my 15mth son loves it and it gives me the chance to meet with nice people 😀 😀November 19, 2007 at 10:02 pm #47856joey_rudd

MemberHi All
There is also a new mother and toddler on Fridays at the disability interest centre behind where Sound Shop was. It has a public Health Nurse so you can ask questions about development etc. Also huge space for kids, can’t remember the price though.

MemberI was at Astro Tots recently and remember seeing a poster for a mum and tots morning from 10 – 12 on Weds. Give them a ring to find out. Now you’ve loads to choose from.

MemberTeddybear I’ll second the one in the presbyterian church on Palace street. I love it and we all have a great chat and laugh, the kids love it. I personaly dont like the one on the Dublin Road and I have also heard this from other mums. I think its 2 euro for the 1st child and 1 euro for every other child, joey you would have to pay for the baby…
It is down stairs but we all chip in and help carry buggies etc..There is a group that is brilliant, its in the old School house in Donacarey on Thursdays at 10 till 12…
The Astrotots one wouldnt really suit your child as its suits older kids.
Good luck in your search for a playgroupNovember 22, 2007 at 10:50 pm #48228joey_rudd
MemberI walked down to the one in the presbyterian church on Palace street a few weeks ago but was too scared to go in and went down town instead 🙄
might try it again if its still around in a few weeks (babys not sleeping at night)…but then thats what babys do…..i don’t mind paying for each child i just like to know what to bring with meNovember 22, 2007 at 10:54 pm #48230Taylor5
MemberJoey I’m always there and you know me from the coffee mornings. I have to say the girls are a wonderfull bunch, I think the fact its in the presbyterian church and they are soooo nice and friendly and the community spirit they have is second to none.

MemberI don’t doubt that the mums are a great bunch, i’m just too chicken 😆
I just need somewhere for my little ones to get to know other children, my dd was in a creche but she was always coming out filthy and soaking wet, plus i need something to get away from childrens tv and baby talk for a few hours, i’ve forgotten how to talk to adults 😆November 22, 2007 at 11:10 pm #48234Taylor5
MemberI’ll pm you my number and you could ring me before you get there and come in with me if that makes it easier?

i was on the same boat. children no matter how great their are, they can be a bit too much sometimes. so when i heard about the group, i decided to give it a go. and my first worry was – what am i going to say? 😆
butthere was no need to worry.
so do try 😀 😀 it’s going to be just fine.November 23, 2007 at 11:08 am #48268chipbutty
