    Hi everybody,

I have previously worked with groups of underprivilaged children as a volunteer and loved it. I am looking to do similar work again. If there is anyone out there that is looking for help (perhaps has a child with a disability) or if anyone knows of any local organisations I would love to hear from you.

try the 5th floor in OLOL children’s ward, they’re looking for people, if you contact them first they’ll put you in touch with playwell, they’re the group that runs it…..they look for just 2and half hrs a week…..

    Hi Deirdre,

Have you heard of the PlayWell group? They volunteer to play with sick children in hospital, including OLOL in Drogheda. Their aim is to take the child’s mind off their illness and to give the parents a break if they want to get a cup of tea or have a little walk outside.

Their website is http://www.childreninhospital.ie/volunintro.html and they seem to be looking for volunteers.

    Good luck!
    Siobhan
